What Are Thermoplastics?
Simply put, thermoplastics are polymers that become pliable when heated and harden when cooled. They’re used in many splints and braces to allow for accurate fitting and maximum support.
MySplint’s proprietary thermoplastics can be remolded up to 5 times while maintaining their rigidity and strength. Learn more about the technology behind MySplint.
Every MySplint contains a three layer composite thermoplastic splint comprised of advanced, high-tech materials that provide superior support, fit, rigidity and comfort.
When heated in a microwave the three layer thermoplastic structure of the MySplint splint becomes soft and pliable which allows it to mold to the contours of your body. During the cooling process, the MySplint premium splint returns to it’s original rigidity but in it’s new custom fit shape.
